What’s the best way to train calisthenics?

How often should I go to failure? Should I do something every day or every other day? I’m not the most physically fit person, I can’t do pullups or dips but I have an assistance machine at the YMCA. I can’t do many pushups or situps. So my two goals are:
1. Being able to do multiple pullups, dips without assistance and 2. Increasing the number of reps of the bodyweight exercises I can do.

I have the same issue with body weight exercises. Its best to work out every day BUT a different muscle group every other day. Just keep grunting them out, when I started a couple months ago, I could barely do one pullup and one dip. Now I can do 5 sets of 7-8 pullups and 4 sets of 12 dips with added weight on a chain. Same thing with situps and pushups, keep at it!
